Subject: Help! Where can I buy Propecia in Hong Kong?

Hi everyone,

I've been experiencing hair loss lately and my doctor recommended that I try Propecia. However, I'm not sure where to buy it here in Hong Kong. Any suggestions? Is it available at pharmacies or do I need a prescription? Thanks!

Hello BeachBum83,

Propecia (finasteride) is indeed commonly prescribed for hair loss. In Hong Kong, you will need a prescription from your doctor to buy it. The easiest way would be to visit a local clinic or hospital where they can examine you and prescribe the medication if necessary.

Thanks for the quick response! I will need to see my doctor then. How about online pharmacies? Can I get it from there without a prescription?

Online pharmacies can be tricky. While some reputable ones may require a valid prescription, others might not. It's important to ensure that you buy from a legitimate source to avoid counterfeit medications. I would recommend getting the prescription and then checking with your local pharmacist for recommended online retailers.

I've heard of some clinics in Hong Kong that offer hair loss treatments. They might prescribe Propecia as part of their treatment plan. You could check with them for a consultation.

That's true! Specialized clinics often have dermatologists who can provide comprehensive hair loss treatments including Propecia. They would be able to give you a proper diagnosis and prescribe the medication if needed.

Thanks for all the advice! I'll start with seeing my regular doctor first. If it doesn't work out, I'll look into specialized clinics.

Just a quick update: I went to see my dermatologist today and got the prescription for Propecia. He also recommended some other hair care products that might help in conjunction with the medication.
